I am Dr. Judith Chareyre (MD). I did my residency in pediatrics in the Ile de France region. My thesis work focused on neonatal diagnosis strategy for arthrogryposis. During my residency, I had the chance to practise one year of neuropediatrics. I also enjoyed my experiences as a resident in neonatal and pediatric intensive care. I am currently a doctor in pediatric intensive care at Necker enfants malades hospital. My clinical research interests are mainly in neurology in the pediatric critical care field.

Professor Anne Esther Njom Nlend is a pediatrician and neonatologist, with a mixed profile both clinician and public health. After her training in France, she came back in her country in the early 1990s. As clinician she has worked for almost 30 years in NSIF (National Social Insurance Fund) hospital, where she was chief of pediatric service and then ended as Director of Essos hospital Centre. In the areas of public health, she has been a pioneer in the fight against transmission of HIV from mother-to-child (PMTCT) through National AIDS Control Committee, and later on she was involved in documenting survival of HIV perinatally infected children in Cameroon. As implementation researcher, she has been documenting successes and lessons learnt of PMTCT of HIV through many publications in peer reviewed journals. As neonatologist, her key interests are preterm birth, breastfeeding and the fight against neonatal asphyxia through training on primary resuscitation of newborn using simulation. In addition, she has been a frontline advocate for the establishment of perinatal networks in the country. Prof Anne Esther Njom Nlend has been involved in many professional societies, founder and current President of Cameroon Society of Perinatal medicine, Past Vice-president and Secretaire General of Cameroon Pediatric Association, 6th and current President of Cameroon Medical Women Association. At international level she is member of French society of neonatology, member of Africa network of HIV/AIDS in Children, focal point for Africa of Association Europeenne d’Enseignement de la Pediatrie. In her areas of expertise she has provided technical assistance to 10 countries of Subsaharan Africa, including visiting almost one in 2 of African countries. Since September 2020, after leaving NSIF, she works as independent Senior adviser and Consultant in the areas of perinatal, reproductive and global health including HIV programmes.

Professor François Maillot, MD, PhD François Maillot is a professor of internal medicine at the University of Tours, France. He is the head of the department of internal medicine which is part of a reference center for inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) at the university hospital in Tours. Professor Maillot is involved in the care and treatment of adult patients with IEM. He has a significative publications record for primary research across a wide array of IEM. Among his research activities, he has studied and published papers about maternal phenylketonuria (PKU), focusing on offspring’s outcome. Professor Maillot is a member of the French national society for the study of IEM (SFEIM) and the international Society for the Study of IEM (SSIEM), and has been involved in the European PKU guidelines working group since 2012.

Antonio Cano is full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Valencia, Spain, and Head of the Obstet Gynecol Department at the Clinico University Hospital-INCLIVA in Valencia. Graduated at the University of Valencia in 1978, trained as specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1980-84, doctorate as scholar at the Royal Spanish College in the University of Bologna, and postdoctoral fellow of British Council in the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London, UK (1984-86). Personal research interest in reproductive endocrinology. Author of several books and around four hundred articles written in English or Spanish. Robert Barouki, MD, PhD, is Professor of Biochemistry at University of Paris and head of the Inserm unit T3S: “Toxicology, Therapeutic Targets, cellular Signaling and Biomarkers”. He also heads the clinical metabolomics and proteomic biochemistry laboratory at the Necker Enfants malades hospital. His research is focused on the impact of environmental contaminants on human health, in particular POPs and EDCs.
