Claude Billeaud received his MD degree from the Medical University of Bordeaux (France) in 1979 after a graduation in human cytogenetics (1976). He then studied pediatrics and has been the Clinical Assistant Director of Bordeaux University in the departments of Pediatrics, Neonatology and Intensive Care since 1983.He currently serves as a pediatrician in the neonatal unit at the Children’s Hospital of Bordeaux, as a scientific manager of Bordeaux-Marmande human milk bank, as a lecturer and head of research (HDR : Habilitation to direct research) in neonatal nutrition at the Medical University of Bordeaux.His particular interest in research led him to graduate in Biology and Health (1988, Bordeaux), be awarded a master in statistics applied to clinical research ( 1991, Montreal) and complete a PhD in nutrition and food science (2000, Bordeaux).

Pediatrics

Professor Juan Brines has a degree in Medicine and Surgery, he specialized in Pediatrics in 1970 and received his doctorate in 1973. He began working at the University of Valencia as an assistant professor of pediatric practices at the Faculty of Medicine (1969-1973). Finally he obtained the chair in 1983 in Pediatrics and Childcare at the Faculty of Medicine of València. He was also Director of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Valencia and later Honorary Professor at the University of the Northeast of Argentina (1999). In 2005 he obtained the "Guillermo Arce-Ernesto Sánchez Villares" medal for pediatric merit.

He has worked as an intern in the Department of Pediatrics of the Hospital Clínico de Valencia and in Central Services attached to the Department of Pediatrics. He was the Clinical Chief of Pediatrics between 1972 and 1976. He also served as the Chief of the Pediatrics Service at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, a position he holds to this day.

He has collaborated in 70 chapters of pediatric books and has participated in 45 lectures at national and international pediatric conferences. The journal articles on pediatrics in which he has collaborated add up to a total of 190, and he has finally directed 23 doctoral theses.

Pediatrics

Doctorresponsible for the regional lactarium in Ile d e France since 2002. Public relations officer of the Association of Lactariums of France (ADLF) and member of the European Association of Lactariums (EMBA). Co-founder of the «Breastfeeding SOS 75» hotline of the Réseau de Santé Périnatal Parisien (RSPP).

Pediatric Nutrition

Raffaele Pilla, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Doctor Europaeus, received his Master’s degree in Pharmacy at D’Annunzio University in Chieti, Italy in 2005, where he also served internships at the Cell Physiology and Molecular Biology Laboratories. He received his Doctor Europaeus in 2010 at Pitié-Salpétrière Institute in Paris, France. In 2010, he achieved his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pathology of Muscle at D’Annunzio University in Chieti, Italy. Later, he was hired as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida on two research grants respectively funded by the Office of Naval Research (US Navy) and Divers’ Alert Network. Dr. Pilla has also been involved in ongoing research on the use of ketone esters. He has widely written and lectured internationally. Dr. Pilla is currently working as a pharmacist in Benevento, Italy and as a clinical research coordinator between USA and Italy.
